Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting Specialist to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices and credit notes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process vendor invoices and credit notes in an accurate and efficient manner.
  • Analyze and report on invoice and claim discrepancies.
  • Implement business changes in accordance with established plans.
  • Own and drive cost transparency, audit, and analysis.
  • Ensure accurate cost data and cost booking.
  • Establish and follow up on relevant financial measurements.
  • Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential financial risks and mitigate them with relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with local, global, and legal requirements.
  • Participate in improvement projects and achieve agreed-upon KPI results.
  • Manage data and request, assess impact, and follow up on resolutions.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in accounting roles.
  • English language proficiency (Basic to Intermediate).
  • Prior experience working on ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Confident and team-oriented personal attributes.
