Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NVH Development Engineer to join our team at Stellantis Financial Services. As an NVH Development Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful integration of all NVH sub-systems into our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Vehicle NVH Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of NVH sub-systems, including radio, ANC, propulsion, and other components.
  • Conduct NVH Assessments: Perform thorough assessments of powertrain, road, wind, and accessory noise at each program stage, monitoring progress towards targets and plans.
  • Engage with Relevant Teams: Work closely with relevant teams to ensure NVH enablers are implemented into the final design and all relevant NVH vehicle targets are met.
  • Support Cross-Functional Meetings: Participate in cross-functional meetings, coordinate benchmarking, standardized testing, and target setting to ensure successful NVH development.
  • Analyze NVH Data: Conduct thorough analysis of NVH data, including summary and recommendations to inform decision-making.
  • Prepare Presentations: Prepare clear and concise presentations/summaries in support of management reviews, ensuring effective communication of NVH development progress.
  • Maintain Program Scorecards: Maintain accurate and up-to-date program scorecards and detailed recovery plans to track NVH development progress.
  • Support Value Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support value optimization activities while maintaining intended NVH character at the product/vehicle level.
  • Support Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvement actions to enhance operational and economic efficiencies within the organization.
Plant Support Responsibilities
  • Support Program Launch: Collaborate with plant teams to ensure successful program launch/start of production and serial life at STAP, functioning as liaison to CTC.
  • Engage with Plant Teams: Engage with plant BSR/quality/audit groups to quantify initial quality and define steps towards improvement.
  • Develop Test Procedures: Develop and adapt test procedures to support plant activities using STAP tools, such as BSR track and 4-post shaker.
Position Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience: Three years of engineering experience and one year of Vehicle, Powertrain, or component NVH experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications, strong planning/organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Experience: Five years of engineering experience with three years of either vehicle NVH or component NVH experience.
  • Skills: Experience in Vehicle or Powertrain NVH development, including data acquisition, processing, analysis, interpretation, and issue resolution. Strong technical background in digital signal processing and active control. Proven record of demonstrating the ability to solve technical problems. Demonstrated capability in effectively using NVH measurements and tools, such as LMS Test.Lab, HEAD Acoustics Artemis, Rotec, Mueller BBM, Matlab, Simulink. Experience working with, or leading cross-organization teams is a plus.
