Roles & responsibilities
We are recruiting for the Senior Associate position in the Tax-R&D team. As a Senior Associate in this team, your responsibilities will include:
Conducting qualitative reviews of activities related to software development, laboratories, computing and industrial facilities, data centers, etc.
Reviewing technical information and documentation received from clients' subject matter experts, including engineers and technical specialists, to identify research and development activities.
Understanding different software development methodologies, software design patterns, and high-level software architecture concepts, such as Object-Oriented Programming, Big Data, RDBMS design concepts, and emerging software technologies like IoT, Blockchain, AI, and ML.
Preparing and reviewing calculation models and Memorandums.
Preparing client technical reports and work papers.
Organizing documentation and creating deliverables.
Writing clear, comprehensive, and exhaustive emails.
Completing extensive quantitative analyses as dictated by the scope of each project.
Reviewing compliance with client guidelines and acting as a liaison between clients and the team.
Ensuring that work assigned is completed within the stipulated budgeted time.
Analyzing client feedback and addressing repetitive errors.
Reporting missing information and requesting additional information from clients
This role is for you if you have the below
Experience & Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or a similar discipline. Coursework or a minor in information systems or data and analytics is preferred.
3-4 years of relevant experience in a software engineering role is preferred.
Good accounting knowledge is preferred.
Experience with tax and financial items such as tax returns, trial balances, wage information, general ledgers, and project costing information.
Strong proficiency in basic MS applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, or similar. Familiarity with SQL, database concepts, cloud technology (AWS, Azure), common software design patterns, data structures and algorithms, common computer infrastructure concepts, web-based or n-tiered architectures, SOA, micro-services, databases, middleware, Big Data is strongly preferred.
Experience in new product designs, including prototype and pilot model development and testing.
Experience in documenting software development projects.
Strong project management skills.
Familiarity with analytical tools including Alteryx and Power BI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail - Quality and time conscious.
Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data and draw meaningful insights.
