About the Role:

As a Java Technical Lead, you will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling backend services that power the Platform Catalog and Advertising ecosystems. You'll lead the development of critical features, contribute to architectural decisions for large-scale distributed systems, and ensure high standards for reliability, performance, and observability. This role involves close collaboration with product partners and stakeholders, hands-on work with modern cloud-native technologies, and mentoring other engineers while supporting production systems in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Lead the design and implementation of major features or services within the Platform Catalog ecosystem.
  • Drive architectural discussions and propose scalable solutions aligned with engineering best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
  • Partner with product managers and stakeholders to translate business goals into technical outcomes.
  • Advocate for system reliability, performance, and observability across multiple integrations.
  • Participate and manage on-call and production support rotations to support and troubleshoot system issues off-hours and during promotional events.
  • Team Coordination: Coordinate with team members to assign tasks, set goals, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues.
  • Technical Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications and Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Strong English communication skills.
  • 10+ years of
    strong software engineering
    experience
    (Java, REST/GraphQL APIs, Docker, Kubernetes to design API to consume/produce data and build backend applications).
  • Use Kafka/Aerospike/Elasticsearch for building a real-time data pipeline as a backbone for the entire Advertising team.
  • Expertise in
    microservices
    architecture for highly available, large-scale distributed systems.
