Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México Shokworks, Inc. A tiempo completo

We're Hiring: Senior Network Engineer at Shokworks

At
Shokworks
, we're pushing the boundaries of next-generation security—and we're looking for a
Senior Network Engineer
to help evolve and integrate our
quantum encryption software stack
at the network layer.

This role is ideal for a highly skilled networking expert who wants to work at the forefront of quantum-safe technologies. You'll take ownership of an existing codebase, drive the transition to hybrid PQC + quantum hardware solutions, and ensure our deployments align with modern enterprise-grade architectures.

Quantum knowledge is not required—our team will train you. The focus is strong, modern networking fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CTO and engineering teams to enhance our software stack on top of quantum encryption hardware.
  • Analyze and integrate an existing codebase while ensuring smooth transition and clear IP ownership.
  • Conduct asset discovery across client environments (certificates, algorithms, keys) and recommend quantum-safe replacements.
  • Program and develop solutions using TLS 1.3 (with PQC support) and IPSEC.
  • Ensure compatibility with modern architectures: topology design, micro-segmentation, SD-WAN, SASE, ZTA, ZTNA, VPNs.
  • Manage and integrate key systems—KMS and HSMs—for secure key generation, distribution, and storage.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize impacts at OSI layers 3–7/8 to avoid disruption in existing infrastructures.
  • Potentially support front-end development for network configuration interfaces (if needed).
  • Collaborate with nearshore or offshore engineering teams.

Required Technical Experience

  • 5+ years as a Network Engineer or in network-centric development, preferably in enterprise environments.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • SD-WAN
, including integration challenges and programming.
  • SASE
    frameworks.
  • ZTA and ZTNA
    .
  • VPN architectures
    and low-level networking interconnections.
  • Advanced knowledge of network topology, micro-segmentation, and how networks interact during encryption transitions.
  • Hands-on programming at the network layer, including:
  • TLS 1.3 with post-quantum cryptography support.
  • IPSEC.
  • Strong experience with:
  • KMS (Key Management Systems)
  • HSMs (Hardware Security Modules)
    for secure key handling.
  • Familiarity with classical and quantum-safe encryption standards:
  • Diffie-Hellman, RSA
  • CNSA 2.0
    for quantum-safe migration
  • Experience using asset discovery tools for certificates, keys, and algorithm scanning.
  • Ability to integrate hybrid PQC + quantum hardware solutions (QRNG, QKD) and willingness to learn quantum abstractions.
  • Proficiency in relevant programming languages (e.g., Python or languages used in TLS/IPSEC implementations).
  • Strong understanding of OSI model impacts—especially layers 3–7 and how upper layers are affected.
