Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Onprem)

Location: Mexico City (on-site)

Employment Type: Full-time, Senior Level

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Platform Support Team. You will collaborate with a world-class engineering team to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our real-time payments platform (SPEI). This role is 100% onsite at our Mexico City offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support engineering and data teams in monitoring, reporting, and improving platform scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Daily infrastructure operations: Databases (SQL, MySQL), firewalls, servers, storage, backups, virtual machines, containers, and monitoring tools.
  • Design, implement, and manage performance monitoring for systems and applications.
  • Maintain updated documentation and create network diagrams/user manuals.
  • Identify and automate efficiency opportunities throughout the product delivery cycle.
  • Build process automation to streamline daily tasks in the SPEI operation.
  • Monitor, reconcile, and resolve transaction discrepancies; verify balances and report atypical transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and ethics codes.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a SysAdmin or Infrastructure Engineer.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and MySQL databases.
  • 2+ years working in virtualized environments (VmWare).
  • Strong experience with Windows/Linux servers.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, Solarwinds, Graphana preferred).
  • Experience designing fault-tolerant services.
  • Experience with containers and JBoss.
  • Ability to create technical documentation and network diagrams.
  • High attention to detail, sense of urgency, and strong problem-solving skills.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Banxico's banking/payments regulations.
  • Experience with financial transaction monitoring.
  • Familiarity with real-time payment systems.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60, $90,000.00 per month
