The Salesforce Health & Safety program leads with care while empowering our employees to work safely through our innovative and engaging safety, compliance, preparedness and response programs. To achieve this mission, we are seeking a technically competent, passionate, and trustworthy professional who is interested in taking risks in order to lead health and safety programs supporting Salesforce employees and operations in the LATAM region based from Mexico City. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of health and safety principles, programs and regulations.
The Sr. Health & Safety Manager (LATAM) is a regional level role, which is an office based in Mexico City. This position will report to the Regional Health & Safety Director (EMEA & LATAM) and be responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Regional Health & Safety program.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Implement and maintain safety programs for our employees and offices including but not limited to, workplace safety, hospitality and amenity spaces, including but not limited to, exhibition kitchens, event spaces, and executive briefing centers.
- Coordinate the execution of the Emergency Response and Preparedness programs for sites including development and maintenance of Emergency Response Teams, Plans, drills, compliance and oversight of regulatory compliance across all LATAM territories (Colombia, Peru, Chile, Argentina, and Brazil and support for incidents and emergencies
- Coordinate the execution of the health and safety compliance program, including conduct facility compliance walkthroughs with stakeholders to verify ongoing compliance with internal health & safety standards as well as regional regulatory requirements.
- Lead investigation, follow up, and root-cause analysis of significant safety incidents.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for business partners
- Coordinate the execution of the health and safety employee engagement program "CAREforce" in LATAM Region, including providing visible leadership in promoting a culture of preparedness and safety, and serving as a regular participant for site leadership meetings to integrate and gain leadership engagement in the safety program.
- Provide support to employees impacted by natural disasters, hardships or injuries/illnesses
- Serve in an on-call rotation to manage response to health & safety incidents for the LATAM Region.
- Serve as the Health & Safety program SME for Regional Business partners (ES, REWS, Legal, Compliance, Business Leaders etc) and as a regular participant for leadership meetings to integrate and gain engagement in the safety program.
- Have responsibility for the direct management and professional development of the Brazil-based Health & Safety Manager.
- Strategic management and coordination of the in country H&S consultants to ensure consistent safety standards, service delivery & budget management across the region.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Language Proficiency: Strong Spanish and English language skills are required, Portuguese is preferred.
- Overall experience of 10 + years in workplace health & safety.
- Experience managing remote teams and/or regional Health & Safety programs in LATAM region.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide leadership during high stress situations.
- Proficient in technology tools, AI, Google Suite (docs, sites, etc.) and Slack
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERRED:
- Experience working in matrix organization & strong interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Salesforce and use of our business solutions
- Experience working across multiple disciplines and geographies
