SUMMARY - Monterrey/Guanajuato

The Transportation Analyst – 3PL is responsible for conducting analyses of new, existing, and historical business within ProTrans. This position plays a key role in evaluating transportation networks across Mexico, the United States, and Canada, leveraging technology tools and software to optimize cost efficiency and operational performance.

The analyst is accountable for identifying savings opportunities, developing data-driven recommendations, maintaining accurate system configurations, and supporting pricing structures aligned with customer and organizational goals. This role supports both current operations and new business initiatives through analytical insight, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement cost-saving and process-improvement initiatives.

  2. Perform profitability analysis through detailed review of account performance, invoices, and cost drivers.

  3. Evaluate the impact of potential operational changes to support data-driven decision-making for strategic initiatives.

  4. Analyze operating system costs to identify opportunities to enhance profitability.

  5. Assess the financial and operational impact of rate adjustments and price changes from transportation providers.

  6. Develop and distribute customized analytical reports to meet internal and customer-specific requirements.

  7. Propose optimized transportation solutions based on demand management and packaging utilization.

  8. Input and maintain customer and carrier rate structures within internal systems.

  9. Prepare and deliver data presentations and performance reports for QBRs (Quarterly Business Reviews) and Kaizen events.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, International Business, Industrial Engineering, Actuarial Science, or a related field.

Language:
Advanced to fluent English proficiency (oral and written).

Experience:
0–2 years of experience in the following areas is preferred:

  • Logistics (1–2 years)

  • Supply Chain (1–2 years)

  • 3PL industry (1–2 years)

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of transportation networks in Mexico, U.S., and Canada.

  • Proficiency in analyzing multi-modal transportation operations.

  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
