  • Supervise and ensure accurate documentation and registration of all corporate accounting transactions.
  • Oversee the accounting process in compliance with local tax regulations and obligations.
  • Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Support forecasting processes and analytical accounting, ensuring alignment with general and specific accounting.
  • Independently manage daily accounting operations including invoice validation and posting, supplier scheduling, bank transactions, national and international payments, and foreign currency operations.
  • Handle VAT and withholding tax payments, fixed asset purchases and disposals, and maintain up-to-date balance sheet data.
  • Manage documentation for external auditors and ensure timely preparation for month-end and year-end closing.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis of accounts payable and expense provisions.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and support the preparation of tax returns, refunds, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOX controls and respond to external audit requests.
  • Provide support to internal clients (stores, departments) and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and coach the local accounting team, overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of AP and general accounting processes.

  • Education: Master's degree or three-year degree in Accounting, or diploma in Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.
  • Computer skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experienced with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English. Portuguese and Italian are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem-solving attitude, proactivity, and the ability to step outside the comfort zone.
  • A collaborative and supportive team player mindset.
