Medical Virtual Assistant (LATAM – Remote)

Job Title: Medical Virtual Assistant

Location: Remote – Latin America (LATAM only)

Work Schedule: U.S. business hours (EST / CST preferred)

Employment Type: Contract (Full-Time or Part-Time)

About the Role

We are hiring Medical Virtual Assistants in Latin America to support U.S.-based healthcare providers. This role is ideal for candidates with medical, clinical, or healthcare administrative experience who want long-term, stable remote work with U.S. clients.

You will work directly with healthcare professionals and administrative teams to support daily medical operations while maintaining strict confidentiality and professionalism.



Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage provider calendars

  • Communicate with patients via phone, email, and patient portals

  • Update and maintain Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR)

  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with authorizations

  • Support billing, claims follow-up, and documentation

  • Prepare intake forms, medical reports, and correspondence

  • Coordinate between providers, staff, and patients

  • Follow HIPAA and U.S. healthcare compliance standards



Required Qualifications

  • Healthcare background required (Medical Assistant, Medical Admin, Nurse Assistant, Medical VA, or similar)

  • Experience with EMR/EHR systems (Epic, Athena, Cerner, eClinicalWorks, etc.)

  • Strong medical terminology knowledge

  • Advanced English (written & spoken)

  • High attention to detail and confidentiality

  • Reliable high-speed internet and quiet workspace



Preferred

  • Experience supporting U.S. healthcare providers

  • Mental health, primary care, or specialty clinic experience

  • Insurance verification or billing experience

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
