Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard Development & Design:
  • Create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards to present complex financial and operational data in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Focus on data visualization best practices to enhance insights and decision-making.
  • Data Source Connectivity:
  • Integrate Power BI with multiple data sources such as Excel sheets stored in Box, databases, and cloud services.
  • Ensure seamless data flow and real-time updates across all connected systems.
  • Advanced Analytics:
  • Implement advanced analytics using Power BI, potentially integrating with OpenAI services to add a predictive or explanatory layer to the dashboards.
  • Develop custom visualizations or features that enhance data storytelling and actionable insights.
  • Optimization & Scalability:
  • Design scalable solutions that can handle increasing data volume and complexity.
  • Provide recommendations on best practices for dashboard maintenance and updates.
  • Training & Documentation:
  • Train team members to manage and update the Power BI dashboards.
  • Document processes, workflows, and connectivity setups for future reference.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including dashboard design, advanced data modeling, and DAX functions.
  • Strong experience connecting Power BI to various data sources (e.g., Excel, databases, APIs, and cloud storage).
  • Familiarity with OpenAI or similar AI services to integrate advanced analytics into dashboards.
  • Proficient in data visualization principles, ensuring information is presented effectively and intuitively.
  • Knowledge of accounting and tax processes is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while meeting deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation of data pipelines and workflows.
  • Familiarity with financial analytics and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks, NetSuite, and ledgers is a plus but not mandatory.
