About the Role:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of our organization within the transportation and warehousing industry. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role, preferably within the transportation and warehousing industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems, such as QuickBooks or SAP.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards in the transportation and warehousing sector.
  • Certification in accounts receivable or related financial certifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Process incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, and electronic transfers, while maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate with clients regarding payment status, discrepancies, and any necessary follow-up actions.
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve billing issues and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Skills:
