We work with tutors, school leaders, and internal teams to ensure a seamless, high-impact tutoring experience nationwide.
Position Summary
The Bilingual Operations Lead is responsible for ensuring that the daily operational processes of Papaya Tutor run efficiently, accurately, and on schedule. You will oversee systems, data, scheduling, tutor assignments, and cross-team coordination.

- Academic & Curriculum Teams
- Tutor Workforce
- Quality Monitoring
- Operations and Leadership
You will lead internal processes, solve operational challenges, manage data workflows, and keep all programs running smoothly.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Coordination
- Oversee tutoring schedules, student rosters, and session accuracy.
- Support school onboarding and program launches.
- Coordinate communication across internal teams and tutors.
Data & Systems Management
- Work extensively with Excel/Google Sheets, databases, and dashboards.
- Maintain and update program data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Track attendance, performance, and program KPIs.
Leadership & Team Support
- Guide and support operations team members.
- Assign tasks, review deliverables, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Curriculum, Onboarding, and Quality teams.
Process Optimization
- Identify operational issues and generate solutions.
- Improve workflows and create/update SOPs.
- Help train new team members and standardize internal processes.
Problem Solving & Communication
- Troubleshoot scheduling, data, or system errors promptly.
- Communicate effectively with tutors and school stakeholders.
- Handle urgent requests and maintain calm in fast-paced situations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) – strong verbal and written communication
- Highly skilled in Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables preferred)
- Comfortable working with databases, spreadsheets, and operational dashboards
- A natural problem solver who enjoys fixing issues and improving systems
- Extremely organized and detail-oriented
- Proactive and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
- Strong communicator with experience working cross-functionally
Required Qualifications
- 2–4 years experience in operations, education, project management, or administrative coordination
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills (required)
- Experience working with databases and data tools (required)
- Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems quickly and effectively
- Experience managing workflows or small teams
- Reliable internet and computer
- Ability to work full-time in U.S. Central Time hours
