The Role

The Lead, Commercial Finance plays a critical role in driving financial insight and strategic decision‑making across commercial operations. This position oversees financial planning and analysis activities—including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and revenue/margin optimization—while evaluating the financial viability of commercial proposals and contracts. Acting as a key business partner, the role collaborates closely with sales, delivery, and legal teams to structure competitive offerings, ensure compliance with financial policies, and identify risks and opportunities. Strong analytical capabilities, advanced financial modeling skills, and effective communication with senior stakeholders are essential to support data‑driven decisions and contribute to sustainable business growth

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning and analysis of key accounts, including forecasting, budgeting, and revenue and margin projections.

  • Evaluate the financial viability of commercial proposals, contracts, and renewals.

  • Collaborate with sales, delivery, and legal teams to structure competitive and profitable offers.

  • Oversee compliance with financial policies, internal controls, and approval processes in Workday.

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Prepare executive reports and presentations for regional/global leadership.

Job Qualifications

  • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for large-scale commercial operations.

  • Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of pricing models, contract structures, and revenue recognition principles.

  • Advanced Excel & Financial Modeling: Ability to build dynamic financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.

  • ERP & Financial Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with tools such as Workday Finance, SAP S/4HANA, or Oracle Cloud Financials.

  • Business Partnering: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, delivery, legal) to influence outcomes and drive profitability.

  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to create executive dashboards and insights.

  • Contract & Deal Review: Experience evaluating the financial impact of commercial proposals, renewals, and change requests.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Required skills and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An MBA or certifications such as CPA or CFA are desirable.

  • Over 5 years of experience in commercial finance roles, FP&A, or pricing.

  • Proficiency in financial tools (advanced Excel, Power BI, Workday Finance).

  • Knowledge of business models based on managed services or technology.
