The Opportunity

We are seeking a Bilingual Production Planner / Master Scheduler with strong analytical skills to manage demand planning, material planning, and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) in a high-mix manufacturing environment.

This role is responsible for loading demand into SAP, maintaining an accurate Master Production Schedule, analyzing backlog vs capacity, and proactively identifying recovery plans, including capacity rebalancing, overtime (OT), or production re-sequencing, to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate must be hands-on in SAP, data-driven, and capable of translating demand into executable production plans aligned with installed capacity and material availability.

Key Responsibilities

Demand & Master Scheduling

• Analyze customer demand, backlog, and forecasts to build and maintain the
  Master Production Schedule (MPS)
  in
  SAP
  .
• Load and maintain demand in SAP, ensuring accuracy of dates, quantities, and priorities.
• Perform
  backlog recovery analysis
  and determine feasibility based on installed capacity.
• Identify when
  shift adjustments, or capacity reallocation
  are required to meet demand.
• Run weekly and daily MPS reviews to align demand, capacity, and materials.

Capacity & Recovery Planning

• Analyze production capacity by line, process, and shift.
• Simulate recovery scenarios (normal hours vs overtime vs re-prioritization).
• Support Operations with data-driven recommendations to close delivery gaps.
• Maintain visibility of risks related to capacity constraints and demand volatility.

Material Planning & SAP Execution

• Ensure material availability aligned with the MPS.
• Monitor material shortages and coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production.
• Use
  SAP ERP only
  (no parallel systems) to execute planning, validate data, and generate reports.
• Maintain system discipline to ensure physical vs system alignment.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Act as the main interface between
  Production, Customer Service, Materials, Warehouse, and Engineering
  .
• Participate in weekly S&OP / MPS / Backlog review meetings.
• Provide clear, concise reports to management highlighting risks, recovery plans, and actions.

Continuous Improvement

• Improve planning accuracy, schedule adherence, and backlog visibility.
• Support standardization of planning processes, reports, and KPIs.
• Identify opportunities to stabilize demand and reduce firefighting.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in
  Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain
  , or related field.
• 5+ years of experience
  in Production Planning / MPS roles.
• Advanced hands-on experience with SAP ERP (mandatory)
  .
• Strong understanding of: Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Demand vs Backlog analysis, Capacity planning and recovery scenarios, Manufacturing lead times and constraints
• Fluent English & Spanish (Bilingual – mandatory)
  .
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High sense of ownership, urgency, and data accuracy.
• Experience in electronics or high-mix manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of S&OP processes.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Experience managing demand volatility and customer escalations.
