Semi Truck Fleet Dispatcher

The Owner-Operator Dispatcher (Remote) is responsible for planning, dispatching, and supporting owner-operators operating under GH Logistics' authority.

This role goes beyond booking loads. You will help owner-operators:

• Run profitable routes
• Reduce unnecessary deadhead
• Understand weekly planning and expectations
• Navigate issues in real time
• Operate smoothly within GH's asset-aligned network

You will work closely with asset dispatch, operations leadership, and recruiting to ensure owner-operators are set up for success from first load through long-term retention.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwner-Operator Dispatch & Planning

• Dispatch and manage owner-operators assigned to GH Logistics' asset-aligned freight.
• Plan routes and loads with a focus on consistency, revenue protection, and efficiency.
• Coordinate round-trip and backhaul opportunities where available.
• Monitor execution to ensure loads are covered, tracked, and completed on time.

Owner-Operator Support

• Serve as the primary day-to-day point of contact for assigned owner-operators.
• Help owner-operators understand schedules, expectations, and load details.
• Assist with issues related to detention, breakdowns, delays, or load changes.
• Escalate safety, compliance, or service issues appropriately.

Asset Team Coordination

• Work in close coordination with GH's asset dispatch and operations team.
• Align owner-operator assignments with asset freight strategy and priorities.
• Communicate availability, capacity, and issues to operations leadership.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure proper BOL submission and load documentation.
• Support owner-operators with ELD or tracking expectations as required.
• Maintain accurate dispatch notes and status updates in internal systems.

Retention & Performance Focus

• Build professional, respectful relationships with owner-operators.
• Identify recurring issues that impact profitability or satisfaction and flag them to leadership.
• Support long-term retention by providing clarity, consistency, and follow-through.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch experience (owner-operator or asset dispatch preferred)
• Strong understanding of routing, load planning, and driver support
• Experience working remotely in a dispatch or operations role
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Reliable internet connection and home office setup

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience dispatching owner-operators under a carrier's authority
• Familiarity with TMS systems, ELD platforms, and document workflows
• Prior experience working with dedicated or semi-dedicated freight
• Logistics or transportation operations background

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $106.41 per hour

Expected hours: 45 – 55 per week
