The Opportunity:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused
Bilingual Collections Agent
to join our team. As a key member of our collections department, you will be responsible for managing outstanding accounts and ensuring the timely resolution of overdue payments.
This is an on-site position, and the successful candidate must be able to work from our office location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collections Management:
    Contact customers to collect outstanding balances through phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication in both English and Spanish.
  • Account Reconciliation:
    Review and manage customer accounts, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Customer Interaction:
    Maintain a professional and empathetic demeanor while negotiating payment plans, resolving disputes, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Documentation:
    Accurately document all communications with customers and update records in the system.
  • Problem Solving:
    Identify and resolve issues affecting timely payments, escalating complex issues to management as necessary.
  • Compliance:
    Ensure all collections activities comply with applicable laws and company policies, including the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).
  • Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies, reffer the customers to the right department look for/and provide updates to ensure and ensure smooth processes.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual:
    Fluent in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
  • Experience:
    Previous experience in collections, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
  • On-Site Role:
    Must be able to work from our office location during regular business hours.
  • Skills:
    Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive customer information.
  • Problem-Solving:
    Ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently while maintaining a positive customer experience.
  • Team-Oriented:
    Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to the achievement of departmental goals.
  • CRM experience:
    Tech-Savvy or Fast learner (IDMS is a plus)
