Duties & Responsibilities

Summary/objective

Essential functions

  • Call and email clients to collect past due invoices and prepare weekly status reports
  • Corresponds with customers and business partners by researching and responding to inquiries and disputes
  • Research and resolve aged open payments and credit/debit memos on customer accounts using a variety of reports, documents and on-line data systems
  • Provide concise and appropriate explanations on open payments
  • Posting daily invoices accurately to customer accounts based on remittance details
  • Assist in the month-end close process by ensuring all processing is completed within the allotted time frame
  • Complete special projects and ad hoc reporting including but not limited to audits, internal and external financial reports as needed
  • Provide support for GL department as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate in accounting or equivalent experience
  • Minimum three (3) years AR/AP experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Proficient in QuickBooks and or Salesforce/FinancialForce.
  • Multi-tasking skills required
  • Professional demeanor
  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Reliable and Accountable
  • Good presentation, facilitation and computer skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability work independently to achieve goals and targets

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Work environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers.

Physical demands

Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 5 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment.

Travel required

This position will require limited travel.
