- Develop Sales Strategies:
Design and implement effective sales strategies and tactics to grow the customer base and increase market share within the heavy-duty truck segment. - Market Analysis:
Conduct in-depth market research to monitor industry trends, assess competitor activity, and understand customer needs—identifying new business opportunities and adapting strategies accordingly. - Forecasting and Budgeting:
Prepare and manage sales budgets, and deliver accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management. - Inventory Management:
Evaluate market potential and manage inventory levels of new and used trucks to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing the risk of depreciation due to aging inventory. - Lead and Mentor the Sales Team:
Provide strategic direction, coaching, and ongoing support to the sales team, establishing clear performance expectations and measurable sales targets. - Performance Monitoring:
Continuously track and analyze key sales metrics—such as conversion rates and lead generation—and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure objectives are achieved. - Foster Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Promote a collaborative and positive work environment by facilitating effective communication between the sales team and other departments, including marketing, finance, and service. - Key Account Management:
Establish, nurture, and sustain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, strategic clients, and large fleet operators to drive customer loyalty and business growth. - Negotiation and Deal Closure:
Lead the negotiation of complex contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitable outcomes while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies. - Customer Service Oversight:
Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues and concerns, maintaining high levels of satisfaction throughout the entire sales and post-sales experience. - Business Development:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting and qualifying potential clients—particularly large fleets—through participation in trade shows, industry events, and networking activities to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Skills:
Education:
Degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience in the commercial vehicle industry.
