Spanish Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spanish language teacher to teach Spanish to English-speaking students in both in-person and online settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering effective language lessons to help students achieve proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in Spanish. The teacher will work with students of varying levels of proficiency, from beginners to advanced learners, and will be expected to adapt their teaching methods and materials to meet the individual needs and goals of each student, whether in-person or online.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver effective Spanish language lessons in both in-person and online settings that are tailored to the needs and goals of individual students.
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans and teaching materials that promote active learning and help students achieve proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in Spanish.
• Use a variety of teaching techniques, including interactive activities, group discussions, and multimedia resources, to enhance students' language learning experience, whether in-person or online.
• Assess and monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback and guidance to help them improve their language skills, whether in-person or online.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in language teaching methodologies and incorporate new approaches into teaching practice as appropriate, whether in-person or online.
• Communicate regularly with students and their parents or guardians to provide updates on progress and discuss any issues or concerns, whether in-person or online.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessment results, whether in-person or online.
• This is not a remote job.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Spanish language teaching, foreign language education, or a related field.
• Proven track record of successful Spanish language teaching experience, preferably with English-speaking students.
• Excellent command of both Spanish and English languages, with a strong emphasis on spoken and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Spanish language and culture, including grammar, syntax, vocabulary, and idiomatic expressions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all ages and backgrounds.
• Familiarity with a range of teaching methodologies and resources, including multimedia tools, online platforms, and interactive learning activities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed, both in-person and online.
