trueITpros is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) specializing in IT support, networking, cybersecurity, and cloud solutions for small and mid-size businesses. We partner with clients across multiple industries to secure, monitor, and optimize their IT infrastructure.

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Network, Servers, Data Protection & Cybersecurity Administrator to join our remote engineering team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure/Entra, Windows Server, networking, backups/data protection, and cybersecurity monitoring—ideally in an MSP environment.

You will be responsible for managing and supporting multiple client environments, performing escalations for the helpdesk team, and assisting with project deployments such as server upgrades, firewall installations, security hardening, and data protection improvements.

Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Administration

  • Manage, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls (Fortinet / Meraki / SonicWall or similar)
  • Perform VLAN configuration, routing, VPN setup, and network segmentation
  • Monitor network performance and security events

Server & Cloud Administration

  • Support Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy
  • Deploy and maintain virtualization environments (Hyper-V, VMware is a plus)
  • Support Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Entra ID (Exchange Online, Intune, Conditional Access)

Data Protection / Business Continuity

  • Administer backup and disaster recovery platforms (Axcient, Veeam, Datto, CrashPlan, etc.)
  • Perform restore testing, failover planning, and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with retention policies and customer SLAs

Cybersecurity

  • Monitor and respond to alerts from SOC/EDR platforms (SentinelOne, Huntress, Defender)
  • Configure and maintain security stack (email security, MFA, conditional access, DLP)
  • Assist with vulnerability remediation and security hardening

Client & Internal MSP Responsibilities

  • Act as escalation point for L1/L2 tickets
  • Participate in project deployments and change management
  • Maintain documentation using MSP standards (PSA, RMM, SharePoint, IT Glue/Confluence)

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on technical experience (MSP or consulting environment strongly preferred)
  • Proven experience in:
  • Windows Server administration
  • Microsoft 365 / Azure management
  • Firewall configuration and troubleshooting
  • SOC/EDR management and cybersecurity tools
  • Data backup and disaster recovery solutions

Preferred Certifications (not required but highly desired)

  • Microsoft: AZ-104, MS-102, SC-200/300
  • Security+: CySA+, CISM or equivalent
  • Fortinet NSE or Meraki CMNA/ECMS
