Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for driving the growth and market share of the writing instruments category in Mexico. This role entails developing and executing comprehensive brand strategies that align with business objectives, satisfy consumer needs, and ensure profitability. By leveraging market insights, leading cross-functional teams, and managing external agencies, the Brand Manager will position the brand as a leader in its category, fostering innovation and optimizing performance across all channels, including e-commerce.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and execute innovative brand strategies to achieve business objectives in sales, market share, and profitability.

  • Lead the development of new products and/or lines, ensuring creativity, consumer alignment, and market relevance.

  • Guide and manage multiple agencies (Media, Brand, Influencer, PR) to create and execute integrated campaigns flawlessly.

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive actions to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

  • Prepare the Annual Budget and Business Plan, aligning strategies and policies to achieve category objectives.

  • Monitor and control expenses, including inventory forecasting by SKU, to ensure profitability and budget adherence.

  • Collaborate with commercial, trade marketing, and e-commerce teams to implement cohesive go-to-market strategies and drive online growth.

  • Coordinate the development and launch of new business lines, ensuring brand consistency, legal compliance, and innovation.

  • Take ownership of the category's P&L, with a focus on financial performance and operational efficiency.

  • Lead the execution of global and local communication strategies, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and regional needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Industrial Engineering, systems or related.
  • 3 years in brand management or mass consumption goods in transnational companies as Brand Manager or similar.
  • Advanced English.
  • Financial Language with basic knowledge of Financial Statements.
  • Knowledge of Retail Index, Advisor or Nielsen databases, media planning, and e-commerce fundamentals.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Strong leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and guiding cross-functional teams.
