Buyer Planner II

Job Description
Ensure that purchased goods, materials and services and company operational needs are met, taking into account price, quality and delivery and to ensure continuity of supply. You will hold responsibility for a specific project/region/business. You will deliver tactical activities of purchasing goods and services from defined contracts with stated terms and conditions. You may also be involved in occasional one-off negotiations for non-standard or off-contract buys, low dollar volume buys or items that are not strategically sourced.

JOB DUTIES:

• Ensure timely availability of materials and components for all NPI builds by coordinating closely with suppliers, purchasing, and sourcing teams.
• Execute and maintain Purchase Orders for NPI materials, including PO creation, updates, risk approvals, and delivery alignment with build schedules.
• Track and monitor supplier shipments, confirming on‑time delivery, identifying delays, and escalating risks impacting NPI build readiness.
• Maintain planning and material master data in SAP/o9 to ensure accurate demand, ROP, lead times, and NPI material setup.
• Ensure compliance with the production schedule by validating material availability ahead of proto, pilot, and ramp‑up builds.
• Participate in shortage/escalation meetings to communicate status, constraints, and recovery plans for NPI materials.
• Track and report key KPIs including OTTR, DBL, Safety Stock attainment, PFEP ROP accuracy, and Inventory Cost performance.

YOU MUST HAVE:

• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing as Buyer and/or Planner, managing material procurement and production support.
• Hands‑on experience with NPI launches, understanding proto, pilot, ramp‑up, and release phases in large‑scale environments.
• SAP proficiency (custom t‑codes, PO creation/updates, tracking, and material data accuracy).
• English proficiency for daily communication with global teams, suppliers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
