Job Vacancy: Manufacturing Engineer

Approximately 48 hours

Ideal Candidate Profile and Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Work Experience:
    At least 1 to 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Language Skills:
    Advanced proficiency in English.

Essential Technical Knowledge:

  1. Automotive Manufacturing Processes:

  2. Welding (spot, MIG/MAG, laser, robotic).

  3. Manual and automated assembly.

  4. Automation and Robotics (basic knowledge):

  5. Basic knowledge of industrial robots (ABB, Fanuc, KUKA, Yaskawa).

  6. Integration of robotic cells.
  7. Industrial sensors (proximity, vision, laser).
  8. PLCs (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi).

  9. HMIs and SCADA, artificial vision systems, conveyors, and material handling systems, AGVs / AMRs.

  10. Process Engineering:

  11. Line balancing, time and motion studies, takt time, and line rate.

  12. Plant layout, industrial ergonomics, capacity planning.

  13. Process simulation (Plant Simulation, FlexSim).

  14. Quality and Automotive Systems:

  15. IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, AMEF / FMEA (Design and Process).

  16. Control plans, SPC and MSA, root cause analysis (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why's).

  17. Internal and customer audits.

  18. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement:

  19. VSM (Value Stream Mapping), Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Poka-Yoke.

  20. JIT / Kanban, Heijunka, OEE, TPM.

  21. Industry 4.0 and Digitalization:

  22. IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems).

  23. Data analytics for manufacturing, digital twins, real-time monitoring.

  24. Data-driven automation.

  25. Industrial Safety and Environment:

  26. Risk analysis, LOTO, OSHA / STPS regulations.

  27. Machinery safety, ergonomics, ISO 14001, industrial waste management.

  28. Project Management:

  29. PMI / Agile methodologies, launch planning (SOP, ramp-up).

  30. Cost management (CapEx, OpEx), scheduling (MS Project, Primavera).

  31. Supplier management, equipment and process validation.

  32. Software and Technical Tools:

  33. CAD (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks), CAM.

  34. Simulation (Process Simulate, Delmia), advanced Excel / Power BI.

  35. Minitab, ERP (SAP), technical documentation.

  36. Material Knowledge:

  37. Composites, treatments and coatings, material selection according to application.

  38. Norms and Customer Requirements:

  39. CSR (Customer Specific Requirements), OEM standards (GM, Ford, VW, Stellantis, BMW, etc.).

  40. New product launches (NPI).

  41. Soft Skills (highly valued):

  42. Technical leadership, communication with multidisciplinary teams.

  43. Problem-solving, working under pressure, analytical thinking.
  44. Technical English (essential).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Optimization and Improvement:
    Design and refine processes to improve manufacturing.
  • Documentation and Standardization:
    Maintain work instructions and specifications.
  • Production and Launch Support:
    Provide direct production support.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration:
    Facilitate production processes and evaluate changes.
