Responsibilities:
The Opportunity
The Advance Analytics Analyst will operate within a team of data engineers, database developers, and data analysts to produce best-in-class dashboard solutions for supply chain performance managers, decision makers, specialists and frontline personnel.
Your Impact
As Advance Analytics Analyst your responsibilities would consist of:
- Apply your visualization skills with Tableau and PowerBI to bring insights across supply chain dashboards and deliver a best-in-class user experience.
- Within projects, develop prototypes and exploratory analysis to serve as a guidepost for the final solutions.
- Develop visualization approaches and patterns for summary views, interactive views, and table detail views.
- Utilize data skills to define data design and technical requirements to enable the dashboard solutions.
- Utilize SQL to join disperse data sets and bring harmonized data into the visualization layer.
- Develop understandings of various system data and data engineering processes and the potential implications on the data.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in existing Tableau and PowerBI Dashboards.
- Perform visual and functional overhauls of existing dashboards to improve user experience.
- Trace data issues through ETL processes and partner with data engineers to resolve.
- Partner closely with data engineers and product owners to ensure end-to-end solution is reliable, accurate, and scalable.
- Partner with team members to align on data design, system design, visual design, and data engineering processes.
- Support team with various ad-hoc requests including data analysis, dashboard troubleshooting, and end-user support.
Qualifications:
Who Are We Looking For?
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business systems or information technology.
Experience
- Fluent in English (B2-C2)
- 2+ years experience with SQL (Intermediate skills).
- Intermediate experience with PowerBI.
- Experience working with Tableau (desirable)
- Experience using various visualization techniques to build dashboards.
- Deep understanding of filters, actions, interactivity, data blending, and data models.
- Experience building wireframes for various personas and developing those into finished solutions.
- Experience utilizing various data sources (such as Oracle, Teradata, Datalake) to harmonize and prepare data for a dashboard solution.
- Basic to intermediate understand of data engineering (ETL), with expectation to continue learning in this area.
- Experience using various data models in Tableau and PowerBI, ability to define data designs to enable various calculations and dashboard solutions (desirable)
- Ability to translate business requirements or ideas into data architecture, data process design, and visual design.
- Familiarity with supply chain or logistics analytics is a plus.
- Familiarity with web development and other programming language(s) is a plus.
