Role Purpose

Support the Accounting Manager and Accounts Payable Manager in supervising, analyzing, and controlling activities to keep the company's accounting information accurate, current, and fully reconciled. Identify and implement accounting controls across processes in each function. Lead Finance in the proper recording of transactions and reserves and in the integration of processes across legal entities, ensuring full compliance with internal and external requirements, audits, and applicable standards (US GAAP and Mexican NIF). Requires knowledge of process mapping and the Mexican regulatory environment (SAT and CFDI e‑invoicing).

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise accounting for all TBC de México legal entities.
  • Review trial balances and resolve identified discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly balance‑sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Execute and analyze monthly closing of accounting modules and the general ledger.
  • Address requests and recommendations from Internal and External Audit.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on non‑conformities until resolved.
  • Serve as a business partner to operating areas.
  • Own assigned P&L lines and balance‑sheet accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and NIF.
  • Develop financial models to support decision‑making.
  • Perform product‑cost analytics and margin tracking.
  • Leverage SAP/Oracle for accurate, timely reporting.
  • Drive productivity initiatives and optimize working capital.

Profile & Competencies

Experience:

  • 5–10 years in finance and accounting roles.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred).

Languages:

  • Spanish and English, professional proficiency.

Knowledge & Technical Skills:

  • Advanced MS Office (Excel expert).
  • US GAAP and Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF).
  • ERP: SAP (preferred) and Oracle.
  • Financial analysis and reporting.

Knowledge:

  • General accounting and auditing principles.
  • Financial reporting standards.
  • SAP/Oracle operation.
  • Advanced Excel.

Skills:

  • General ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.
  • Balance‑sheet account reconciliations.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Audit support (internal and external).
  • Sub‑ledger vs. GL reconciliations and month‑end close.
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.

Organizational Competencies:

  • Team leadership.
  • Business process orientation.
  • Procurement and policy compliance.
