Senior Intercompany Accounting Specialist

Role Purpose

This position is responsible for overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of intercompany financial processes, ensuring proper accounting treatment, compliance with international standards, and alignment with fiscal requirements related to transactions between group entities. The role will also support the standardization of procedures, documentation, and continuous improvement of the systems used to manage intercompany operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage intercompany accounting activities, ensuring transactions between entities are properly recorded, validated, and documented.
  • Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliations, monitor variances, and coordinate timely resolution of discrepancies.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the U.S. corporate team for balance reviews, transaction confirmations, and inquiries related to intercompany processes.
  • Partner with the Tax team on transfer pricing matters, supporting documentation, regulatory compliance, and BEPS-related reporting.
  • Oversee intercompany accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, collaborating with Treasury to settle balances and reduce foreign exchange exposure.
  • Analyze segmented financial information to validate the logic behind revenue, costs, expenses, and results, ensuring alignment with internal transfer methodologies.
  • Support the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls related to intercompany processes.
  • Participate in financial projects involving new entity setups or business initiatives that require intercompany process design.
  • Prepare financial and fiscal reports related to intercompany transactions and balances.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and corporate finance processes.
  • Proficiency with financial ERPs (SAP, PeopleSoft, BAAN, or similar).
  • Knowledge of transfer pricing concepts and familiarity with IFRS / US GAAP.
  • Previous experience in a Big Four firm is preferred.
  • Experience with intercompany AP/AR processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret segmented P&L information.
  • Advanced Excel skills and intermediate proficiency with data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
  • Advanced English communication skills.

Gross salary starting from $40,000 MXN per month, plus above-law benefits.
