Position Summary

This role supports the accounting and project teams with processing, compliance, and project documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual looking to build a foundation in construction or project-based accounting. The position requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to collaborate across teams to support timely and compliant financial operations in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll.
  • Maintain and submit payroll compliance documentation.
  • Process and track labor compliance startup documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project controllers to ensure timely payments from clients.
  • Assist project controllers and accounting with ad hoc items as needed.
  • Maintain organized records of project documentation and correspondence.
  • Other deliverables as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; Accounting, Finance, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a construction or project-based environment is a plus but not required.
  • Fundamental understanding of accounting principles; exposure to construction accounting, WIP, or revenue recognition is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate with accounting and operational teams.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting or ERP systems; experience with construction systems (e.g., Sage, Procore, Textura, Plexxis) is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to learn payroll processes, labor compliance requirements, and project documentation standards.
