Ciudad de México, Ciudad de México UNCOMMON A tiempo completo

UN/COMMON is a digital experience and marketing agency that launches and grows the world's best emerging brands. We believe the future of consumer-facing brands starts with creating authentic stories built for the consumer first and brand second. We are extremely proud to work with revolutionary brands such as Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty, Dermalogica, Liquid Death, Lemon Perfect, and more.

We are an employee and customer-centric agency bringing mission first brand stories to life to benefit the greater good and better people's lives. And we have a TON of fun doing it

The Retention Marketing Specialist owns the day-to-day execution of email and SMS production for our clients. This includes project management, content planning, copy and creative briefs, HTML builds, QA, and scheduling. You will manage end-to-end production and keep timelines on track across design, strategy, and client teams. You will work closely with a Retention Marketing Strategist to support retention strategy, reporting, and ongoing optimization. If you enjoy organized workflows, sharp deadlines, clean builds, and improving the customer journey through thoughtful messaging, you will do well here.

What You Will Do

You will manage the full production process for email campaigns and automated flows, build emails in Klaviyo or similar ESPs, write on-brand copy, create clear briefs for the design team, QA content and logic, and schedule deployments. You will maintain the monthly content calendar, drive timelines with clients, and ensure all assets and approvals stay on track. You will support the Retention Marketing Strategist by pulling performance data, analyzing results, and developing recommendations. You will build automated workflows, segmentation, and list logic, maintain list hygiene, and work confidently with Shopify apps such as Yotpo, Loyalty Lion, JustUno, and Privy.

Based on our projected customer base growth, we foresee the need for a Retention Marketing Specialist within the next 2-4 months to ensure we can effectively manage and nurture our expanding user community.

What You Need
  • 2 years of experience in retention marketing, specifically across email, SMS, CRM, or loyalty programs.
  • Hands-on experience with an Email Service Platform (ESP), with a strong preference for Klaviyo.
  • Strong copywriting skills for direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce, with the ability to adapt tone and style to match different client brands.
  • A solid understanding of email analytics and the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategy.
  • Clear understanding of the difference between marketing campaigns and automated flows, and knowing when to deploy each.
  • Proficiency in building segmented customer lists using behavioral and transactional data.
  • Experience working within Shopify or directly supporting Shopify-based clients.
  • A proactive, organized approach, with the ability to think through the entire customer journey and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team.
What Success Looks Like

Your production process is smooth, predictable, and organized. Clients trust your communication and follow your timelines. Email and SMS performance improves because of your quality and attention to detail. Strategy and reporting move faster because you stay ahead of data and execution. You keep projects aligned, informed, and on schedule. You take ownership, ask smart questions, and keep work moving forward.
