Position Summary
Leadership role responsible for launching and building the Private Clients / Chairman's Club department in Mexico. Combines business development, direct client management and sales execution in the initial phase, evolving into team leadership, mentoring and strategic oversight as the department grows.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Department Launch
With approval of the General Manager you will define positioning, go-to-market strategy, product mix, client acquisition plan. Develop standard processes, quality control, tools, checklists, workflows
Build relationships with key suppliers, villa operators, premium product partners in Mexico and globally in line with AKTG strategy and goals.
Sales & Revenue Generation (Consulting / Closing)
Personally handle high-value client files, especially flagship or anchor accounts
Build and review proposals, ensure consistency, "wow factor," margin protection
Participate in select client pitches or networking dinners
Actively collaborate with marketing, introducers, and partners to generate leads
Build a client base of repeat business
Pipeline & Lead Management
Set and monitor pipeline metrics (leads, qualified leads, proposals, conversion rates)
Review weekly/monthly pipeline, coach consultants, enforce follow-up discipline
Implement CRM tracking, forecasting, reporting
Margin & Financial Oversight
Manage and monitor margins of bookings.
With the General Manager manage budget of department (client development, FAM, travel, admin)
Analyze performance variances and recommend corrective actions
Operations Oversight & Quality Control
Ensure each itinerary undergoes review / QC before delivering to clients
Ensure strong coordination with operations team, local ground partners.
Resolve escalated service issues promptly and ensure client satisfaction
Maintain service standards, SOPs, contingency protocols
Reporting & Analytics
Deliver monthly P&L, revenue vs target, margin, pipeline reports to senior leadership
Present quarterly business review, opportunities, challenges, forecasts
Monitor KPI dashboards and track trends
Client Relationship & Branding
Occasionally host client dinners, private events, presentations
Represent A&K Mexico's private clients brand in the luxury ecosystem
Maintain tact and discretion in dealing with ultra-high-net-worth clients
Required Skills & Capabilities:
- 7+ years of experience in luxury travel, hospitality, or UHNW client services.
- Demonstrate competency of destination knowledge worldwide and luxury travel product.
- Proven sales and revenue achievement.
- Experience managing complex bespoke itineraries.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and financial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Willingness to travel.
Working Conditions & Requirements
- Hybrid work model.
- Domestic and international travel for inspections, product development, and events.
- Occasional evening/weekend work and after-hours client availability.
- In-person representation at events and familiarisation trips.
