Role Description
We're looking for a Tech Lead who's both a hands-on engineer and a technical strategist — someone who can code, design architectures, and guide the team through complex technical decisions.
This is a full-time, remote role. You'll lead our technical direction, mentor a small team of talented developers, and work closely with the founders to scale our platform and AI capabilities. You'll also stay ahead of the curve, experimenting with generative AI, automation frameworks, and tools like Cursor to accelerate development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the technical execution of key product initiatives end-to-end.
- Designing scalable architectures and APIs with strong security and reliability principles.
- Getting your hands dirty coding and reviewing pull requests regularly.
- Helping integrate and improve our use of AI models (OpenAI, Gemini, custom fine-tuned models).
- Driving best practices around testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
- Mentoring developers and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with product and operations to deliver meaningful features fast.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead or Senior Software Engineer in fast-paced environments or startups.
- Strong technical foundation with experience across backend and frontend (we use a modern JS + Python-based stack, deployed on cloud infra).
- Familiarity with AI APIs, LLMs, or generative AI integrations.
- Experience designing scalable architectures, working with APIs, and leading technical roadmaps.
- Solid understanding of DevOps practices, cloud deployment, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to balance hands-on coding with technical leadership.
- Comfortable working in high-autonomy environments where speed and quality both matter.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning — whether it's about new AI frameworks, developer tools like Cursor, or emerging infrastructure patterns.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
Bonus Points
- Experience with Python + Flask/FastAPI, , PostgreSQL, Supabase, or GCP/AWS.
- Exposure to prompt engineering, document AI, or workflow automation tools like n8n or Make.
- A passion for solving real-world problems through technology that actually matters.
