About Role

We are seeking an exceptional Technical Lead to serve as our embedded technical partner with a key client in Mexico. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between our global engineering teams and our most important Mexican client, operating as both a hands-on technical leader and strategic solution architect.

You will be the technical voice and presence on the ground, working directly within the client's environment to understand their ecosystem, gather requirements in real-time, and architect innovative solutions that leverage our SaaS platform and hyper-local service layer. This role is critical to eliminating the communication delays and inefficiencies

Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture

  • Serve as the primary technical liaison between our Global engineering teams and the Mexico-based client
  • Analyze and architect solutions that integrate our SaaS platform with localized service requirements
  • Lead technical discovery sessions and requirement gathering directly with client stakeholders
  • Design pragmatic, scalable solutions that balance business needs with technical feasibility
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and code reviews for implementation teams
  • Own end-to-end SDLC processes from requirements analysis through production deployment and maintenance

Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with client technical and business stakeholders
  • Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language for client leadership
  • Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making processes with client teams
  • Act as the authoritative technical voice in client meetings and strategic planning sessions
  • Proactively identify opportunities for technical improvements and innovation

Solution Design & Implementation

  • Deep-dive into the client's existing ecosystem to understand integration touchpoints
  • Propose innovative solutions that maximize the value of our SaaS platform in their environment
  • Design architecture for hyper-local service layer implementations
  • Create detailed technical specifications and implementation roadmaps
  • Collaborate with Global engineering and stakeholder teams to ensure seamless delivery execution
  • Lead incident response and resolution activities, providing real-time technical support during critical issues
  • Drive complete SDLC ownership including planning, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support

Communication & Coordination

  • Eliminate timezone-related delays by providing real-time technical clarification and decision-making
  • Maintain clear, consistent communication channels between client and global teams
  • Document technical decisions, requirements, and architectural patterns
  • Coordinate cross-timezone development activities and release planning
  • Improve process with each iteration

Required Qualifications
Technical Expertise

  • 14+ years of overall technical experience with hands-on development, including a minimum of 7+ years in technical leadership roles
  • Strong background in SaaS platform architecture and design patterns
  • Experience with localized service implementations and multi-tenant architectures
  • Proficiency in modern web technologies, APIs, and cloud platforms, languages like Java, React and Golang
  • Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
  • Experience with database design and optimization for high-scale applications
  • Strong incident management and troubleshooting skills with experience in production environments
  • Proven ability to diagnose complex technical issues quickly and coordinate resolution across distributed teams
  • Comprehensive experience with full SDLC ownership including agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and production operations

Leadership & Communication

  • Proven track record of client-facing technical leadership and stakeholder management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and effectively lead discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills

Business Acumen

  • Experience working in fast-paced, client-focused environments
  • Understanding of SaaS business models and customer success principles
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and project management

Location & Availability

  • Based in Mexico with ability to work on-site 4 days per week + 1 day remote.
  • Flexible availability to accommodate coordination with Singapore team (occasional early morning or late evening calls)
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings or client requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Latin American market dynamics and localization requirements
  • Background in Telco, fintech, e-commerce, or similar industries requiring localized services
  • Previous experience as a technical consultant or client-embedded engineer
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements in Mexican market
  • Experience with performance optimization for geographically distributed systems
