How will you make an impact in this role?

ICS Governance & Control sits within International Card Services (ICS) which comprises of all the issuing functions across all 28 international markets excluding the US - colleagues operate across a variety of geographies and disciplines. ICS issues products to our Consumer and Commercial customers – the organization is an integral part of the global growth strategy for American Express; offering differentiated products and services is critical to our success and promises to drive significant growth and value through the delivery of innovative products, tailored to the needs of our customers.

Responsible for supporting the Vice President – Control Management within our organization, this role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant and fast paced team, working with colleagues across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Act as a point of contact for Leaders with a professional manner using discretion in answering queries.

·       Organize and proactively maintain calendars, including scheduling meetings across multiple time-zones, using a high level of integrity.

·       Coordinate travel including air and hotel bookings, liaising with other AMEX offices for internal meetings.

·       Coordinate Town Halls, staff meetings, 1:1's, including reserving facilities, catering etc.

·       Support the leadership in preparing presentations for meetings or Town Halls.

·       Coordinate, prepare and reconcile expenses.

·       Process monthly expense reports on a timely basis in line with company requirements.

·       Manage general follow-up and generate reminders to effectively meet deadlines and commitments.

·       Communicate effectively with team members and associated departments.

·       Support ad-hoc administrative work as directed by leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

·       Ability to interact effectively and diplomatically with senior management and their support staff.

·       Strong work ethic, highly self-motivated, but understands the key need to be a great team member.

·       Ability to develop and deliver effective verbal and written communications to clearly convey information, including the ability to produce high quality presentations.

·       Excellent time management and organizational skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

·       Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work within deadlines and execute across multiple initiatives/tasks.

·       Demonstrated ability to work with a sense of urgency.

·       Ability to identify problems, determine possible solutions, and actively work to resolve issues.

·       High level of proficiency using MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, AI tools (Chat GPT, CoPilot), as well as internal AXP tools and systems – Telepresence, WebEx, MS Outlook, Ariba, and Concur.

·       Strong interpersonal, relationship and networking skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships across all areas of the organization.

·       Ability to operate with a high level of integrity for handling sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Bachelor´s degree in Engineering or Technology is preferred
