Position Snapshot
As a Trade Analyst at Livingston International, you will play a key role in supporting commercial activities and global trade operations. This role blends sales support, trade analysis, and import documentation review to ensure regulatory compliance, accuracy, and timeliness across international trade processes.
You will collaborate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and suppliers to support business development efforts, maintain critical documentation flows, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Location:
Hybrid – Santa Fe or Mexico City (2 days on-site per week)

Sales & Business Development Support
- Collaborate with the sales team on business development initiatives.
- Support the Livingston Sales Journey, including SFDC and DnB registrations, reporting, data management, and prospect tracking.
- Develop sales profiles, prospect acquisition strategies, and retention plans.
- Manage contact databases and monitor marketing campaigns.
- Analyze costs, rates, and regulatory requirements for sales proposals.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Trade Operations & Import Referrals Support
- Manage the Canadian Import Referrals mailbox, reviewing incoming documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Cross-check bill of lading, commercial invoices, and other import documents.
- Collect, organize, and upload documentation to support timely shipment release.
- Collaborate with Classification, Escalation, and Customs Brokerage teams to resolve documentation or tariff issues.
- Assign correct tariff classifications—including TIGIE fractions—and support reclassification reviews.
- Record delays or discrepancies in the IRQ system.
- Track and trace shipments, identifying and resolving roadblocks.
- Respond professionally and promptly to internal and external inquiries.
- Ensure adherence to client instructions, regulatory requirements, and internal compliance standards.
- Support process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and client service.
What You Bring
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Foreign Trade, International Business, or a closely related field.
- Technical degree or diploma in International Trade or Customs Sciences also accepted.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, logistics, or related roles.
Skills & Competencies
- Advanced English (written and verbal).
- Strong attention to detail in reviewing trade documents and financial/operational data.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, systems, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a hybrid model.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Knowledge of:
- Logistics and supply chain (desirable).
- Mexican customs law and international trade regulations.
- Import/export tax laws (LIGIE).
- RRNAs and non-tariff regulations.
- DOF (Official Journal of the Federation).
