Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator is responsible for ensuring a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment by implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving EHS programs and initiatives. This role plays a key part in promoting a proactive safety culture, preventing incidents, and supporting operational excellence across the organization.
What You'll Do
- Promote and ensure compliance with Goodyear's EHS Policy among all team members.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs, standards, and procedures aligned with corporate and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and recommend preventive measures.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Deliver and coordinate EHS training programs for employees and contractors to strengthen awareness and safe behaviors.
- Ensure compliance with local and international EHS regulations and industry best practices.
- Oversee the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce compliance across all operations.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness and response plans, including drills, evacuation procedures, and crisis management activities.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance indicators to drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with management and employees to foster a proactive safety culture.
- Integrate safety considerations into equipment and process design.
- Lead and manage safety committees, encouraging active worker participation in EHS initiatives.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the personnel under your responsibility.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in EHS or Safety Coordination roles, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Intermediate English proficiency (minimum).
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Solid understanding of Occupational Safety Standards and Compliance (global and local).
- Expertise in Risk Assessment, Hazard Identification, and Incident Investigation.
- Knowledge of Emergency Preparedness, Crisis Management, and Behavior-Based Safety.
- Proven ability to develop and sustain a strong safety culture within the organization.

- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated success in driving cultural change and employee engagement around safety.
- Certification in EHS management systems (ISO 45001, ISO or equivalent.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
