We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer with 3–8+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs. The ideal candidate has strong backend development expertise using Kotlin or Python, with working knowledge of Go, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while working Eastern Time hours.

What You Will Do:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs to support web and platform applications
• Build and optimize server-side logic, data storage solutions, and integrations with third-party services
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps to deliver high-quality features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve backend performance, reliability, and security issues
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making
• Ensure backend systems are performant, secure, and scalable to support business growth
• Work within an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and estimations

Your knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• 3–8+ years of professional experience in backend web development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin or Python, with working knowledge of Go
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs (or GraphQL)
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with cloud-based environments and modern deployment practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across distributed teams Availability to work Eastern Time working hours
