Cybersecurity Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting a customer in the banking sector. You will play a key role in safeguarding critical banking infrastructure, supporting digital transformation, and driving the adoption of new security technologies.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with multi-vendor environments (Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, Cisco), and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support migration and integration of legacy security systems to modern platforms.

· Architect, deploy, and manage security solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.

· Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents using SOC tools and methodologies.

· Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and remediation.

· Lead or participate in security audits and compliance assessments.

· Integrate security controls into network, endpoint, and cloud infrastructures.

· Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to align security with operational needs.

· Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

· 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles (SOC, security engineering, consulting).

· Experience with Check Point and Palo Alto networks.

· Required Certifications (one or more preferred, must have):

CheckPoint: Maestro, CCAS, CCES, CCME, CCTE, CCVS, CCSM.

Palo Alto Networks: PCNSE, PCNSC, PSE-P Endpoint, ACE.

· Strong knowledge of network security, endpoint protection, and cloud security.

· Experience with SOC operations, incident response, and vulnerability management.

· C1 English Level + Spanish.

· Remote from México.
