The Opportunity

The IT Support Specialist will serve as the initial technical point of contact for internal users across North America, providing remote support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Level 1 support for IT issues via remote tools (e.g., MS Teams, TeamViewer).
  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve incidents within SLA timelines using Jira ticketing system.
  • Monitor internal IT systems and tools daily.
  • Deploy and configure new tools and software on user workstations remotely.
  • Administer user accounts, email addresses, and access levels for new hires.
  • Provide support for remote users, including VPN and remote desktop setup and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose/and resolve technical issues with software and hardware
  • Assist with onboarding tasks, including VPN setup and access provisioning for remote users.
  • Assist and support internal IT projects
  • Some travelling maybe required to our plant in Jacona.

What You Bring

  • An undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, etc. is an asset
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role is required
  • Advanced knowledge of Office 365 and basic networking principles.
  • Must have knowledge of PC components and design, networking concepts, including PC setup, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
  • Microsoft MCSE or MCP is a significant asset.
  • Knowledge of automation and AI is an asset
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Customer service focus with a collaborative mindset.
