We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Remote Professional / Virtual Assistant with exceptional written English skills to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role in the architectural design process by translating concepts and sketches into detailed technical drawings.Working closely with architects and designers, you will be responsible for producing accurate and precise drawings that adhere to project specifications and building codes. Your attention to detail and proficiency in drafting software will be essential.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Drafts site plans efficiently and accurately
  • Shows competence in all conventional aspects of architecture
  • Receives direction from senior design and architectural staff and effectively follows through with minimal supervision
  • Designs presentation graphics with CADD systems, Photoshop, and similar graphic programs
  • Translates sketched details, sections, and notes onto working drawing sheets
  • Self-directed CADD input and checking
  • Applies basic to intermediate site planning standards (such as parking, access drives and optimal building sizes)
  • Organizes data such as square footage, acreage, and parking counts into data tables and verifying accuracy
  • Renders site plans for marketing/presentation purposes (Using AutoCAD or misc. software)
  • Working knowledge of current codes and regulations for typical project types
  • Able to document project using AIA documentation

Qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication in English
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Drafter in an architectural firm or related industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other drafting software.
  • Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction techniques.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Portfolio showcasing previous drafting work is a plus.

Requirements

  • Reside in Mexico
  • The whole hiring process must be held from the computer you will be applying from
  • Laptop or desktop computer you'd use to work, ensuring that it has a working camera.
  • Your device must have at least 8GB of RAM and run on an Intel Core i3 processor (4th generation) or higher. Additionally, it should be operating on Windows 10 or higher, or MacOS 13 or higher.
  • You must have an internet connection of at least 20 MB download and 5 MB upload.
  • You must have an enabled antivirus on your computer.
