About The Role
The Regional Marketing Director is responsible for designing, planning, directing, and managing marketing strategies and Academic Services that contribute to achieving the company's financial objectives. This role also involves managing and controlling the budget allocated to these two areas, optimizing resources for efficient and effective performance. Additionally, this role will be responsible for implementing the MI/BI areas in Mexico.
Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in MI/BI to implement the area that will enhance market knowledge, Macmillan's positioning, budgeting improvements, and goal setting. This role will establish guidelines for the processes of business and market information gathering and analysis, ensuring the provision of valuable insights to support the company and senior management in decision-making related to products and services, as well as identifying areas of opportunity.
- Conduct necessary market analysis to contribute to the development of key company strategies.
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans related to promotion, dissemination, market segmentation, coverage, and commercial tools.
- Develop training strategies for the Academic Services area, both internally and externally, in terms of topics, coverage, and resource optimization to achieve maximum effectiveness and service quality.
- Develop communication strategies that strengthen the positioning of the Macmillan and Castillo brands among our clients.
- Efficiently coordinate institutional events, both internal and external, to ensure they meet their objectives.
- Maintain regular communication with Marketing UK to develop ELT campaigns and adapt them to the region.
- Responsible for the analysis and pricing allocation process.
- Efficiently manage and control the budget for the Marketing and Academic Services departments at both local and regional levels.
- Standardize processes at the regional level to ensure consistency.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in Marketing Management
- Bachelor's degree and/or postgraduate degree in Marketing
- Experience with data analysis, data management
- Experience in EdTech preferred
- English proficiency: C1
- Digital Marketing expertise
- Familiarity and awareness of Industry trends including A.I.
- Knowledge of the publishing market
- Experience in promotion and advertising
- Experience in corporate communication
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strategy development
- Conflict management
- Attention to detail
