**Description**:
Responsible for leading state of the art Supplier Development processes to evaluate, select, manage and develop Franklin Electric’s global supply base. The processes should support specific goals within business-critical areas of Customer Service, Productivity, Value Enhancement and New Product Introduction.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leads implementation of best-in-class Supplier Development tools and processes for the organization, globally, and in coordination with Franklin Electric’s supplier development initiatives, including: Supplier Assessment, Supplier Scorecards, and Supplier Risk Assessment/FMEA tools.
- Works with suppliers and Franklin Electric teams to increase value, quality, delivery performance and technology solutions to the business; shared metrics include improvements to inventory turns, Franklin Electric product lead-times, YOY Productivity support, and supplier delivery and quality performance.
- Integrates best practices in support of Franklin Electric’s Global Product Development Process, such as early supplier involvement within the GPDC, supplier technology road mapping, and leveraging critical component risk management matrix within the development cycle to deliver supplier performance to plan.
- Facilitates supplier initiatives focused on supplier quality, delivery, value and lean that support Franklin Electric’s strategic goals.
- Perform supplier evaluation to determine they are in compliant with agreements, delivery times, pricing, and product quality. Create onboarding best practices to set clear expectations for lead time, pricing, payment, product quality and other factors.
- Onboard new suppliers by collecting prospective vendor information, assess vendor compliance and risks and create streamlined processes to build stronger relationships that result in improved business outcomes.
- Provide supplier training and development to reach and maintain the required level of quality, on-time delivery and responsiveness that will improve a supplier’s capability and technical knowledge.
- Perform supplier consolidation for non-performing suppliers to increase purchasing power, reduce shipping costs, time savings and build stronger partnerships.
- Conduct supplier review meetings to focus on the relationship and identify any risks or issues before a problem transpires.
- Facilitate value-driven, long-term improvements in supplier Quality for key suppliers by identifying critical areas for development and working with supplier in a collaborative fashion to drive performance improvements and innovation. Be proactive with supplier improvement strategies and mechanisms to improve performance.
- Drive resolution of critical Supplier Quality issues by leveraging robust Containment, Root Cause Analysis and corrective actions by interacting with various stakeholders including operations, engineering, sourcing and suppliers.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders through standard reports, presentations on status of Supplier Quality metrics.
- Travel (25%) is required.

**Experience**
- BS in a technical field (required).
- Masters (MS/MBA) (preferred).
- Experience in managing programs required. Working knowledge of implementing a supplier development program of significant scope and globally highly desired.
- 8+ years’ experience in operations, sourcing or quality.
