Technical School Certification / Associates Degree

2 + yr Experience in a manufacturing environment

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.

Help design, control, operate and troubleshoot specialized processes central to the business activities. Primary duty of any process technician is to optimize a specialized process and keep it on track, even if problems arise. Performs technical tests and experiments for process engineering within R&D. Performs set up of processing equipment. Monitors, audits and provides guidance to line operators. Processes test runs and prepares records, charts, and graphs of results for presentation to engineering to identify yield problems or test new products. Provides technical assistance to process development and engineering personnel.
