Provides accounting support that could include but is not limited to; fixed assets, leases, royalties, intercompany, professional fees, and general accounting. **Essential Functions (> 10% time spent on these duties)**: - Prepares journal entries from source documentation. This may include, but is not limited to, performing and reviewing calculations prepared by others, summarizing source data, evaluating reliability of source data and verifying account coding. - Prepares monthly or quarterly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with corporate policy. Reconciliations agree to the source ledger, have a clear explanation of what makes up the balance and any unidentified differences are resolved in a timely fashion. - Tasks could include but are not limited to; verifies, and requests invoices for charges to international licensees, joint ventures and other Ball operations and records associated journal entries as required, responsible for all aspects of process for intercompany balancing, responsible for the professional services fee which includes monthly accruals based on department budget and creating any necessary true ups, prepares all necessary accruals and amortization for prep aids and allocations, responsible for accounting and analysis for leased property and equipment including entries for deferred rent, completes Lease Versus Purchase Analysis, assists in the setup of new projects from approved Authorization for Expenditures, capitalized interest calculation, provides data for external reporting. - Able to investigate and propose an approach for resolving issues or accounting around new items. - Meets tight deadlines consistently and reliably, and is responsible for communicating any deadlines that may be missed to immediate supervisor in a timely manner. - Able to communicate efficiently and effectively with various groups of people, potentially internationally. - Maintains process documentation and updates the documentation as processes change. - Approaches daily work with a continuous improvement mindset. - Able to navigate and use ERP and other company systems. - Responds to internal, external and/or audit inquiries. - Establishes and maintains an employee relations climate of trust and confidence that will discourage third party interference **Position Requirements**: - Broad training in a related field usually acquired through 0 high school; 1 college or 0 graduate degree level education or work-related experience. - Job related experience for 3 year(s) minimum - Certifications/Licenses/Other: - Broad training in a related professional field acquired through college level education. - Job related experience for 3 years minimum - CPA preferred - Working knowledge of the following areas: accounting principles, practices, nomenclature, procedures, advanced accounting, excel, word, JDE preferred, Hyperion preferred., fixed assets accounting principles - Problem solving and critical thinking skills - Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner. - Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. - Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Ball Corporation manuals. - Ability to perform intermediate mathematical calculations. - Ability to operate and functionally use a computer and calculator - Ability to meet deadlines, concentrate, and pay attention to detail. - Ability to analyze and interpret data in order to make recommendations. - Ability to work independently within parameters set my management. - Ability to undertake and concurrently manage multiple tasks. - Organizational: Must be able to organize, plan, and prioritize. - Microsoft office (advanced Excel). - Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills. **Ball Corporation je poslodavac koji pruža jednake mogućnosti za sve.
