Account Payable Manager

**In order to properly process accounts payables invoices and disbursements, we are looking for a North America Accounts payable manager that will be reporting to the Corporate Controller. The AP manager will be supervising a team of 5 employees and be responsible for the full accounts payable cycle for the Canadian, US and Mexican entities of the Group, including the month-end tasks and maintaining the reconciliation of accounts for month-end purposes.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and supervise the accounts payable department staff, consisting of 5 employees in Mexico and Canada
- Master and manage invoice processing at each stage (receipt, validation, system processing, variance management) in accordance with internal policies for the Canadian, American and Mexican entities
- Master and supervise the bi-weekly the vendor disbursement process of invoices in accordance with payment terms and manage other urgent payments when needed for the Canadian, American and Mexican entities
- Master and supervise the expense reports processing and timely payments for the Canadian, American and Mexican entities
- Standardize processes by considering best practices and aligning capacity with present and future volume in collaboration with the other entities of the Group in Europe
- Manage priorities and follow-ups to provide an excellent service and to maintain the relationships with both external suppliers and internal clients
- Working closely with the Supply chain and logistics manager, the procurement team and controllers to ensure the AP process’ operational continuity
- Oversight of vendor master database, including the creation of new vendors and maintaining the vendors payment information and related supporting information
- Set, track and communicate performance indicators of the AP processes and AP department
- Propose improvement initiatives and support change management initiatives
- Participate in the Finance department’s various projects and support the Corporate Controller in various special projects and ad-hoc requests.

Requirements and skills:

- Knowledge of the full accounts payable cycle for Canada, US and Mexico
- Knowledge of PO and non-PO invoicing processes
- Knowledge of Canadian, Mexican and/or US sales taxes;
- Previous experience in month-end accounting procedures relating to AP (i.e. auxiliary vs GL reconciliation, follow-up of invoices on hold, etc.)
- Previous experience in a multi-currency environment, with intercompany transactions
- Knowledge of accounts payable best practices and experience in implementing process improvements

Degree: BA in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field.

Software: ERPs, Microsoft D365 is an asset. Intermediate Excel skills.

Language: Fluent in English and Spanish, written & spoken. French, an asset.

Experience: Minimum 5 years as manager/leader. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounts payable.
