Sr. Finance Business Analyst

In this role you will be expected to partner with module owners and technical leads to understand business requirements and translate then into design solutions associated to ERP projects impacting GL/AP modules. **Essential Responsibilities**: In this role, you will: - Work with IT leaders and module owners for prioritization of critical issues and work towards resolution - Own and be responsible for Open cases reduction, RCAs and recurring issues reduction - Learn and support customizations and interfaces of varying complexity, suggesting where possible to replace customization with vanilla Oracle processes of equal or greater functionality - Serve as domain and ERP expert and drive / be accountable for operational excellence as well as stabilization of Operations into GL/AP area - Act as single technical point of contact for escalations related to GL/AP modules ensuring they get addressed appropriately with continuous communication - Support the IT organization and finance with month end close activities as related to GL/AP modules and integrations - Act as technical lead for any implementations/projects or integrations related to GL/AP modules - Partner with module owners/technical leads and help carve out and lead mandatory compliance, productivity and business required initiatives going beyond day-to-day operations - Oversee the work of developers ensuring deliverables are high quality and implemented in a timely manner - Ensure changes related to GL/AP implementations/projects go through proper testing and relevant documentation is created for future reference - Ensure conformance to generic ERP Operations support standards / practices - Coach / monitor contingent staff in ERP Operations support standards / practices **Eligibility Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) - Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an information systems design (development experience with implementation, customization, business analyst or technical analyst experience) implementation or operations - Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a full suite of ERP module implementation including GL/AP - Minimum of 3 years’ experience Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL development experience - Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies Capable of planning and organizing work and processes in a continuously moving support model **Desired Skills & Characteristics**: - Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an information systems design, implementation or operations - Minimum of 3 years’ experience with Oracle EBS R12 with focus on GL/AP modules - Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL with minimum of 5 years’ development experience - Understanding of the key tables used by GL/AP modules and how they are related - Understanding of module specific API’s and ability to design, implement and support custom extensions that integrate with vanilla processes - Knowledge of GL/AP processes and key ERP functionalities and configurations aligned to those processes - Ability to lead members of the development and support teams - Ability to create and execute test plans as well to create requirement and design documents - Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical risks and impacts; define alternatives to remove roadblocks - Ability to coach & train, motivate team to adopt standards & methodologies - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating with internal customers to help support and enhance business systems - A technical engineer, with extensive experience in solving challenging issues in high pressure environment - Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; Highly motivated, self-starter Wabtec Corporation is committed to taking on the world’s toughest challenges.
