The Network Engineer will ensure that all the communications of the organization are running efficiently by performing upgrading and maintenance tasks on hardware and software, resolving technical problems, overseeing their activity levels, ensuring security, and developing new system structures when necessary.

The role holder will work closely with all the Platform team to manage all the infrastructure on premise and cloud to ensure their smooth functioning, keeping track of data entering or exiting the organization. Because of the nature of this job, the Network Engineer needs to be prepared to report to work round-the-clock, and have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.

Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure platform, the Network team will define with Architecture team and deliver the overall vision, standards, practices and technical solutions that ensure Small World can work in an on premise and cloud solution.

We are recruiting talented engineers that can help us in the short term to deliver our backlogs in the existing platform and in the near future, to help us migrating and modernizing our systems to a new architecture yet to be defined.

Your Responsibilities
- Ensure that the LAN/WAN is capable of providing required services by supporting the network infrastructure through the use of troubleshooting and problem resolution in a production environment.
- Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks including, but not limited to the following:

- Firewalls
- Routers and Switches
- VPN Systems
- AWS and Azure Networking

o Wi-Fi
- Document all facets of network configuration and operation
- Work with other members of our team to improve your skillset and to help us make our team even stronger
- Perform pre-installation, equipment replacement and post installation support.
- Perform regular backup and restore operations and to help implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and provide root cause analysis of network related issues.
- Perform diagnostic utilities to identify and isolate problems encountered on different mediums and network protocols.
- Participate in and respond to system and network incidents.
- Perform system and network analysis by using well defined toolsets for proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and incident response.
- Help with Cost control and Cost optimization in On premise platform and Cloud providers.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand requirements and provide low level designs that match with the requirements.
- Deliver the backlog both for business as usual, prioritized incidents and strategic projects in a timely manner with the right quality.
- Help us to manage and scale our systems focusing on high availability, to be able to offer a robust service.

- Experience in installing and maintaining telecommunications and networking systems and equipment.
- Deep understanding of networking equipment and network topology.
- A wide understanding and experience of network technologies, including Cisco (VLAN, trunking, STP).
- Thorough understanding of network switching and routing.
- Thorough understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN technologies.
- Experience with Security: Firewalls, ideally Cisco, Fortinet, or Juniper screenOS: (creating VPN's, rules, NAT, security profiles)
- Knowledge in / working experience of IPS/IDS Cisco/Juniper/Fortinet
- Good English skills (spoken and written).
- Cisco CCNA/CCNP is desirable.
