**Descripción**:
The main responsibilities are to:

- Design, implement, and maintain security controls and technologies to protect against cyber threats, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, access controls, and encryption.
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Conduct security awareness training and education for employees to promote security awareness and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats and trends and implement appropriate security measures to protect against them.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior security engineers or other team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, engineering, and compliance to ensure that security requirements are met.

**Perfil buscado (Hombre / Mujer)**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in security engineering or related field.
- Advanced knowledge of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, access controls, and encryption.
- Experience with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk assessments.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices, such as PCI, HIPAA, and GDPR.
- Ability to analyze and interpret security data to identify trends and potential security risks.
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate security risks and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP are preferred.
