**Descripción y Requisitos**

**Position objective**:
In this position you will be responsible for leading raw material suppliers as well as negotiate best price, having an excellent knowledge of the materials we work with. You will need maximize relationship with providers by ensuring an adequate and quality stock level is always available.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor of Chemistry and Master in Materials (Desirable)
- 5+ years’ experience in similar position in maquiladora environment
- Fluid in English
- Solid familiarity with databases, spreadsheets, and payables procedures
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strategic planning
- MS Office Proficient
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Availability of travel
- Schedule availability
- Visa/passport

**Main responsibilities**:

- Acts as an inspirational leader by coaching, mentoring and developing direct reports and managing a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
- Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
- Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers.
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors.
- Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
- Understand the requirements of products and services.
- Know about improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Learn about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Oversee the production process.
- Solve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
