Division Overview

Hubbell Power Systems (HPS) engages in the design and manufacture of a wide variety of products used by utilities. Today, HPS is deeply engaged in product solutions for OSP Communication utility purposes, and has been actively growing that segment of the business. HPS roots have historically been in high voltage transmission, distribution, substation, underground products used by electric utilities. HPS products are also used in the civil construction, transportation, gas and water industries.

Hubbell Incorporated engages in the design, manufacture, and sale of electrical and electronic products in the United States and internationally. It operates in three segments: Electrical, Power, and Industrial Technology.

**Position Overview**:

- The Materials Manager oversees and/or supports the Purchasing organizations as well as the material analysis for the Business Unit. Duties include materials planning, materials control, materials strategy and all material project initiatives. This position is also a key enabler of lean and continuous improvement in the plant. Key performance indicators for this position are inventory days, customer on-time shipping to promised ship date, past due, vendor on time performance and managing NCMR directly with suppliers.**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Primary point of responsibility for materials management for the site.
- Responsible for managing Planning, MRP and Warehouse personnel.
- Ensures optimization of all materials management activities including scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, materials movement, supplier performance measurement, and indirect materials management.
- Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance of the Materials and SIOP processes and systems to facilitate the fulfillment process from production planning to material procurement and warehousing through product shipment.
- Facilitates interaction with Sourcing, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing and Quality Assurance in support of the business’s strategic goals.
- Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes and/or material suppliers.
- Provide leadership in selecting, developing and evaluating personnel to ensure the efficient operation of materials functions and HPS’s operating goals and objectives.
- Manage suppliers, materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of a Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing environment.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Managerial experience related to standardizing planning and subsequent execution, reducing sourcing complexity and talent development.
- Experience with MTS and MTO manufacturing environments.
- Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication, project management and relationship building skills
- Strong analytical, business process analysis and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong interpersonal skills & ability to engage and communicate with internal & external stakeholders
- High motivation and results-oriented work ethic
- Experience using ERP system; SAP strongly preferred Supply chain management with manufacturing experience or knowledge preferred
- CPSM or APICS certification is preferred
- Bilingual English-Spanish

**Education**:
