The company has been leading an industry transformation by leveraging data and proprietary technology to develop innovative products and services. **About the role**: The People Operations Manager will lead and oversee the core People processes that support the employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a high-quality employee experience. This role combines strategic HR initiatives with operational excellence, scaling with well-designed processes, systems and policies. **You'll be responsible for**: - Oversee end-to-end processes for onboarding, offboarding, transfers (local and international), vacations, leave management and other related functions. - Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation and employee records management. - Partner with HR Business Partners and P&C COEs to develop and deliver consistent people practices. - Implement and maintain People policies aligned with local labor laws and company values, ensuring compliance with rules and employment regulations. - Manage the operational delivery of payroll in partnership with Finance and external providers (outsourcing model). - Drive optimization of People-related processes, champion automation and process improvement initiatives within People Operations. - Act as the first point of escalation for complex operational or employee relations issues. **We are looking for a person who has**: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - 5-8 years of progressive experience in People Operations / HR Operations. - Strong knowledge of labor law and HR compliance (Mexico, LATAM, global is a plus). - Experience in HR ERP (e.g. Workday, Oracle, BambooHR, etc), spreadsheets and electronic document platforms such as Docusign. - Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. - Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; able to build trust across teams. - Comfortable balancing strategic priorities with hands-on execution. - Fluent English skills; Portuguese is a plus. **Our Benefits**: - Chance of earning equity at Nu - Extended maternity and paternity leaves - Health and life insurance - Dental and Vision Insurance - NuCare - Our mental health and wellness assistance program - Nucleo - Our learning platform of courses - NuLanguage - Our language learning program - Holiday Bonus ("Aguinaldo") of 30 days of pay per year - 17 days of paid vacation with 25% vacation bonus - Gym partnership - Food card - Work-from-home Allowance - Parental Consultancy **Diversity and Inclusion at Nu**: We want to build products and experiences for everyone who wants to take back control over their finances, that's why we build strong and diverse teams that rise up to the challenge.
